It’s time for another unforgettable Poetry Open Mic Experience with Voices In Power. This isn’t your average open mic— this is where poetry meets vibes, & the energy is unmatched.
Here’s the deal:
Doors open at 6:00 PM, & the show begins at 7:00 PM. Start your night with music, food, drinks, & networking, plus the chance to sign up for our open mic raffle. The vibes will be curated by DJ G33k, with incredible performances from our Featured Poet Luis Marrero, alongside visual artists & local vendors. Expect a night filled with love, community, & powerful poetry.
For Poets:
• We use an all-raffle sign-up process. Sign-ups open when doors open & close 7:00 PM when the Show starts. Poets must be present to sign up.
• Poets are selected randomly throughout the night to perform & are given 5 minutes for one poem.
• Signing a raffle ticket does not guarantee you’ll be selected to perform.
Please respect the process & time limits to ensure the best experience for everyone.
Feature Bio:
Luis Marrero is a spoken word artist, storyteller, and the Founder & CEO of Voices In Power, a nationally recognized poetry open mic experience. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Luis has spent over a decade cultivating safe and vibrant spaces for creatives to express themselves authentically. His platform has become a cornerstone for the poetry community, hosting sold-out events across the country and empowering countless artists to share their stories.
Luis’s poetry is known for its raw emotion, vivid imagery, and dynamic cadence, reflecting the grit and beauty of life’s experiences. Whether exploring themes of love, resilience, or personal growth, his work resonates deeply with audiences, sparking connection and conversation.
