What’s up family?
Here we are, for our Inaugural Poetry Open Mic Experience at City Winery Chicago. This isn’t your typical open mic so grab your tickets & come find out why.
Our Poetry Open Mic Experiences are always what you need, & as usual, they SELL OUT every month in every city. The room is filled with beautiful people, amazing talent, great food, dope music, & the energy was high. If you were in the building (rather, the rooftop) last year, you already know. & it’s time to do it again.
So, let’s get to the details:
Tuesday, December 10th, at 7:30 PM the doors open at City Winery Chicago & a beautiful night begins..
We kick the night off with some music, networking, eating, & open mic list sign ups. At around 8:30 PM, our Host Jovan McKoy, will hop on the mic to kick the night off.
We will have DJ G33k keeping the vibes high with music, plus vendors, visual artists, food and dessert vendors, & a featured poet for the night . And of course, most of the night gets dedicated to the poets who signed up. We will have some competitions throughout the night, to add some fun and engagement with the audience and many moments of laughs, love, and dancing.
That’s pretty much it, on paper, to say the least. But again, these aren’t just “open mic nights” so don’t get it twisted if this is your first time. We turn up and the vibe is everything.
With that said, tickets will sell out so grab them today and meet us there. The cameras will be out so get fly and let’s make memories together.
And remember, this is family. Come connect with some beautiful people and let it change your life.
The Place Artists Call Home
With love, always,
The Voices In Power Family
For POETS interested in performing:
We do an ALL RAFFLE sign up process. The doors open at 7:30 PM and each poet can sign one ticket to put into the bucket. Raffle sign ups are open until 8:15 PM, no exceptions. At 8:30 PM, we begin the night and tickets are selected at random one at a time for the duration of the night. Each poet gets 5 minutes to share one poem. If selected, please do not perform any poetry longer than 5 minutes as it cuts into the time we have to bring on as many poets as possible. Thank you for your support and we look forward to possibly hearing your poetry.
