It’s time for another unforgettable Poetry Open Mic Experience with Voices In Power. This isn’t your average open mic— this is where poetry meets vibes, & the energy is unmatched.

Here’s the deal:

Doors open at 6:00 PM, & the show begins at 7:00 PM. Start your night with music, food, drinks, & networking, plus the chance to sign up for our open mic raffle. The vibes will be curated by DJ G33k, with incredible performances from our Featured Poet Free.K, alongside visual artists & local vendors. Expect a night filled with love, community, & powerful poetry.

For Poets:

• We use an all-raffle sign-up process. Sign-ups open when doors open & close 7:00 PM when the Show starts. Poets must be present to sign up.

• Poets are selected randomly throughout the night to perform & are given 5 minutes for one poem.

• Signing a raffle ticket does not guarantee you’ll be selected to perform.

Please respect the process & time limits to ensure the best experience for everyone.

Feature Bio:

Free.K, also known as Free Knowledge, is a multifaceted professional excelling as a host, writer, spoken word artist, curator, youth advocate, choreographer, and entrepreneur. Hailing from Houston, she has cultivated her passion for poetry into a purpose-driven career.At the heart of her work is the social movement encapsulated by the acronym P.O.E.T.I.C. (Purposely Organizing Emotions To Ignite Change), embodied by her persona, Free Knowledge. Her competitive exploration of creativity has earned her prestigious titles such as Write About Now's 2022 Woman of the World Festival Representative and 2 time WOWPS FINALISTS , among others. Most notably, she clinched the first position in the SoFried National Team Championship with the Write About Now slam team .The only woman from Texas to earn the title .Throughout her illustrious career, Free has graced stages alongside renowned poets and emerging talents, showcasing her unparalleled talent and unwavering commitment to the art form. As a host, she seamlessly guides diverse audiences through immersive Texas-inspired experiences.Beyond her artistic endeavors, Free is deeply committed to community service, notably through her involvement with No More Victims, a non-profit dedicated to supporting children of incarcerated individuals. Her brand, P.o.e.t.i.c. , fosters an inclusive community where individuals are welcomed and encouraged to explore various creative outlets.Furthermore, Free's creativity extends to fashion design, where she utilizes clothing as a medium to challenge and address issues of inequality and social injustice, echoing the themes prevalent in her poetry.
