It’s time for another unforgettable stop in our Poetry Open Mic Experience TOUR with Voices In Power & this time we’re back in Detroit. This isn’t your average open mic— this is where poetry meets vibes, & the energy is unmatched.
Here’s the deal:
Doors open at 7:00 PM, & the show begins at 8:00 PM. Start your night with music, food, drinks, & networking, plus the chance to sign up for our open mic raffle. The vibes will be curated by DJ G33k, with incredible performances from our Featured Poets Solfull Poetry & Hakeem The People’s Poet, alongside visual artists & local vendors. Expect a night filled with love, community, & powerful poetry.
For Poets:
• We use an all-raffle sign-up process. Sign-ups open when doors open at 7:00 PM & close at 7:55 PM when the Show starts. Poets must be present to sign up.
• Poets are selected randomly throughout the night to perform & are given 5 minutes for one poem.
• Signing a raffle ticket does not guarantee you’ll be selected to perform.
Please respect the process & time limits to ensure the best experience for everyone.
Feature Bio: Solfull Poetry
Michigan born poet Earl Cooper (aka Solfull Poetry) is an Event curator and creator of the brand “Love Related”. Solfull has traveled across the country touring, released a poetry book titled “To Love From Me” and performed at multiple festivals and colleges. Solfull also has done with Detroit Public Schools.
