Feature - LaLa:
Lala is a spoken word poet born in New York that currently resides in Orlando, Florida. She has cultivated her craft in Poetry through life experiences, values, and real world events. She teaches skills to be resilient and mentors youth and young adults on effective communication and translating emotions to effective language. She’s a mother to three boys and also an Army Veteran.
Lala has been writing since she was a young teen. She has been very active in her local poetry scene where she won the grand slam to represent Orlando on a National Poetry stage with her team mates at Southern Fried 2026. She is currently working on two books which she plans to have released within a year. Lala assists in coaching for Exodus United inc. A non-profit organization for the youth, who also competes nationally.
Lala- A captivating poet with pure passion and dedication. Every time she touches the stage she leaves it all out there.
Feature - Poet1Deep:
Poet1Deep is an Orlando born and raised spoken word poet who has been sharing his art with the world for the past 9 years. Having been twice nominated for poet of the year honors, he describes his style of poetry as therapeutic social commentary.
From an oftentimes personal place, Poet1Deep speaks on societal issues that effect the African American community; but not exclusively. He believes “there is more that unites us than that which divides us” but feels that “we have to be ready to have those kind of conversations”.
In the future Poet1Deep hopes to continue to spread his words throughout with the goal of establishing common ground & understanding.
